Press Conference PreSeason1 Carbonite Signing Arena Ball🏐! Guild First Official Charger
Producer (offstage): Nft link at end. We can begin.
Press: Carbonite, first off congrats for the signing as the first Official Arena Ball Charger!
Carbonite smiles, sort of.
Golden Menace (familiar):
As you guys are well aware, Carbonite doesnt say much. So I’ll be addressing your questions and Carb will chime in as he wants. Thanks for the question – we are very excited for the new Arena Ball Guild league and Carbonite has been training intensely for Season 1 approaching.
Press: Golden you have a long-standing friendship with Carbonite, will you be joining him for Season 1 games?
Golden:
Probably, the schedule is still being developed. We are training together and learning the Arena.
Press: Carb this is a big jump from your successful career in the chariot races, can you tell us how it happened?
Golden:
Carb was approached at the end of the race season and given a rundown of the plans for Arena Ball. We had already participated in some pickup runs at the Arena and tried out the track but it was still very primitive. Mostly some posts and goal sinks and the early heavier balls. To be honest it was obvious there was a lot of work todo to get the guild season off the ground.
Golden:
The league was already forming though, and Carbonite knows Maximus, both from The Elder, so it was natural to give it a go. First impressions were very positive, Arena Ball is demanding and fast-paced and colorful, it’s going to be a fan favorite. Clearly, Carbonite would need to adjust his training regime for the continuous running and cutting, but he’s in peak Greek form right now so it’s fine.
Golden:
A deal was worked out with the chariot guild so that Carb can return for some appearances at special events. But really, this was a no-brainer. Arena Ball is going to be a smash and being the first Official Charger its incredible.
Carbonite nods.
Press: You said the early track had heavier balls, how is that evolving?
Golden:
While Carb is a monster (quite literally haha), it was no problem for him to knock things around barreling through the channels and then at the Stage (Arena Stage) disperse the set quickly, it would have been tough for other players even for seasoned arenaball vets like myself. The guild reduced the ball weight about 10% and now it’s perfect. You still get the nice bounce off the mech bumpers and the balls come down from flight quickly, but across the player base everyone should be able to power through long shots and multiball attempts.
Press: The ABG hasnt said much, do the balls have metallic cores, and if so do you expect funny magnetic challenges later this season?
Golden laughs:
Haha no comment.
Everyone laughs. Except Carbonite.
Golden:
Anything else guys? Carb has a few runs today still, they have waxed down the track again so he wants to test his shoes.
Press: That’s great for today, congrats again Carbonite and Golden and we look forward to seeing some Arena Ball!
